I’m Phil! 👋

I am the founder and principal at Talent Realized.

I am not your average HR leader. In fact, I have always tried to not brand myself as “HR.” Guess that is the rebellious pastor’s kid in me.

My 18+ year career spans from being a missionary to an executive at a high-growth tech company.

I spurred the growth of a faith-forward Church software company, Subsplash, by creating a People Operations department (1st HR hire) that boosted the ability to attract and retain top talent nationwide, resulting in over 5x growth in both headcount and revenue within 6 years and being nationally recognized as one of the fastest-growing private companies (Inc. 5000)

  • As the VP of People Operations, I led a team responsible for Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Payroll, Total Rewards, L&D, Office Management, and IT. We supported close to 300 employees in 24 states with contractors all over the world. I cultivated a culture with exceptional Glassdoor ratings (4.7+), high employee net promoter scores (65+), and best workplace awards from Inc. Magazine, Glassdoor, BuiltIn, Puget Sound Business Magazine, Austin Business Magazine, and Seattle Business Magazine.

    I also led the company through major transformations, including multiple acquisitions, office expansion, and a transition to a fully remote workplace.
